What do I get?

GUARANTEED INCOME OF $1,000 PER WEEK
FOR THE FIRST TWELVE WEEKS

Once you have finished training and started operating in your territory Wet-seal will provide you with a guaranteed income of $1,000 per week for the first twelve weeks.

Years of experience has shown that these first few months of operation of any new business can be the most stressful.  Wet-seal’s belief is that the provision of a guaranteed income during this period allows its franchisees to be more focused on generating new clients.

SIX WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM

The first three weeks of training is conducted at Wet-seal’s Corporate Office in Coffs Harbour, on the New South Wales Mid North Coast.

The first two weeks are spent being trained on the actual waterproofing of internal areas, below ground tanking and underfloor heating.  This training is done on various modules specifically made for the purpose of replicating the various configurations of showers, baths, spas, etc, that you would encounter in the field.

The third week is focused on learning the internal administration systems, technical standards, computer software, OH&S and sales.  You also spend a full day with specialised TAFE trainers learning plan interpretation and another full day on small business management.

The fourth week is spent in Melbourne where the focus is on the waterproofing of external decks, balconies, etc.

Week five is spent with an existing franchisee, generally in the state or region that you will be working in.  This allows you to spend time in the “real world” as well as the training room and lets you see how franchisees manage their diaries, ordering system, etc.

In week six you go back to your territory accompanied by our National Training Manager.  While you were going through your training Wet-seal will have sent letters to all the builders listed in your territory advising them that you would soon be operating in their area.  The National Training Manager will spend the week with you contacting many of those builders, as well as supervising any jobs that have already been booked in.

At all times during this six week period your progress is being assessed to ensure that you have attained the knowledge and skills required to become a successful Wet-seal franchisee.

TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION COSTS

No matter where you are based the costs of all travel and accommodation are included in the up-front Franchise Fee.  Wet-seal even pays for your food costs while you are away from home (limits apply).

For the three weeks you spend in Coffs Harbour we also provide a company vehicle for your use so that you can take advantage of the opportunity to see some of the fabulous sights the area is famous for.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

You are provided with a complete kit of tools required to operate as a Wet-seal franchisee.  This includes power tools and moisture meter.

COMMUNICATIONS/COMPUTER EQUIPMENT

Wet-seal provides you with a complete communications package which includes a laptop computer, Microsoft Office software, Wet-seal custom software, multi-function printer, mobile phone and digital camera.

The laptop computer is fully set up to operate and includes having a “Wet-seal” email address that reflects your territory name.

UNIFORM PACKAGE

As a franchisee of Wet-seal you will be required to wear a uniform whenever working in the field or meeting with customers.  You are provided with a complete uniform package consisting of polo shirts, shorts, long work pants, jacket and vest.

STOCK & SUPPLIES

To start things off Wet-seal will provide you with quantities of the most commonly used products, supplies, fittings, etc. as soon as you complete training.  The quantities supplied are approximately one month’s supply.

VEHICLE SIGN WRITING

As stated earlier in this document you are required to operate from an approved white commercial vehicle.  As a part of your start up package Wet-seal will design, supply and arrange the fitting of sign writing to that vehicle.

STATIONERY

You will receive business cards, letterheads, brochures, promotional CD’s and a range of other items all designed to make the operation of your business more professional.

FIELD SUPPORT

As previously stated, your first field support commences as soon as you return to your territory, with the National Training Manager spending the first week with you to help you generate sales with builders in the area.

Wet-seal employs a full-time Compliance Officer who undertakes regular scheduled visits during which he will conduct assessments of your work quality, as well as provide any assistance that he can.  These assessments help ensure that your operation and quality of workmanship is maintained to Wet-seal standards and to Quality Assurance AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 standard.

You will also be provided with support by other departments such as Sales & Marketing, Technical, Information Technology, etc.

ADMINISTRATION

Wet-seal recognises that the last thing our franchisees want to do when they finish a day in the field is spend hours every week producing invoices, installation certificates, monthly statements, etc. So they provide this administration service for you.

All you need to do is process the job sheet online and they send an invoice to your customer and an installation certificate/warranty to you to provide to the customer after the account is paid.  At the end of the month Wet-seal sends out a statement.

In fact you don’t even need to worry about doing the banking.  Customer payments are made direct to Wet-seal.  Monies received by Wet-seal on your behalf are paid into your bank account twice a week.

If required Wet-seal can also assist with debt collection.

REPORTING

At the end of each month all franchisees receive a range of comprehensive Sales, Payment and Data Reports designed to assist with the management of your business.
